Dear Friends,
On March 7th, we loaded our first container for Israel. As with all of our containers, it was the culmination of a lot of work and sacrifice on the parts of a many people. We thank the Lord for touching hearts and then for people responding and making it all possible.
I had a couple of estimates of about 50 to 60 people here to help with the loading and I am so thankful for each person that came.
To reiterate a little, this container was done in partnership with Harvest of Israel, a ministry of First Baptist Church, Morristown, Tenn. They have been working with The Joseph Project, an established NGO in Israel, for a few years. Loaded into this container was everything from infant clothes to a new tent that will handle 90 people. Also, there are 80 new mattresses.
Some of these supplies will be used to minister to mothers at a crisis pregnancy center in Israel. Some supplies will be used to meet needs of Jews coming into Israel from all over the world who have no worldly possessions when they arrive. Some will be used to minister to some of the needs of a few of the 70,000, or so, Holocaust Victiims that live in Israel, of whom about 1/3 are impoverished. Most importantly, all of it will be used to demonstrate the unconditional love of Jesus to those in need and provide an opportunity for meeting an eternal need as they hear the message of Yeshua HaMashiach – Jesus the Messiah!
As this container was prayed over, this was the prayer—that the contents would all be used to bring glory to our Lord and to draw others to Him.
This is the link that will take you the Harvest of Israel newsletter which I think you will enjoy. http://www.harvestofisrael.org/newsletters.html
Again, thank you all for your continued prayers and support of Fairhaven. May the Lord continue to bless you all.
In His Service,
Johnny
